I’m growing great big beast tomatoes for the first time this year, after only ever going for cherries. I have no idea how they will turn out...they will be good for sauce, I’m sure, if nothing else!

Over here one can purchase jars of only pickled pearl onions (we call them “silverskin”) and they are so heavenly!

I think perhaps it is. For the moment there’s no hint that anything will change dramatically, but then again thisng HAVE changed dramatically over the trip. I’m comfortable for now with the not-knowing, just basking in the afterglow

Your dills look delicious, I’ve become obsessed with “quick pickled onions” and eat them on everything. The sharpness is divine, especially in a heatwave.

Oh my dear, it is, as Mr. Dad says regularly, “a bad business.” I saw a lady walking her cat through the park on a lead...the cat was loving life and the lady was happy and smiling in the sunshine. Also my niece mace me a dinosaur  birthday card. Animals and dogs remain good and fair and true.

:) It’s been an awfully long time <3

Thank you Corporal, we have a number of holidays planned (accompanied by the inevitable sleepy refrain of “Shall we just stay on holiday forever?” “Yes, let’s stay on holiday forever” and he is planning to come and visit as soon as I’m moved in and sorted in the new place. Curse long distance though...

Thanks Cheers...I’m pretty smiley too. Also, I’m sure you will be interested to hear he made us breakfast every day. Good, real coffee and scrambled eggs, sometimes with smoked salmon, sometimes with avocado, always followed by fresh fruit and juice.

Hi everyone, it’s been a wee while.

After a difficult few months in lockdown I had 3 glorious weeks back at work (school for kids with complex social, emotional and mental health needs) before the summer holidays. Started digging up the football pitch for a veg garden and several of the kids helped and started to

I, for one, am shaken to my very core. Truly, I cannot believe.

That looks and sounds amazing! I made my Dad (at his request) a strange sort of birthday pie. Lined a tin (base and sides) with a chocolate biscuit crust, then filled it with chocolate and brandy mousse, topped with raspberries and shaved chocolate. It was a LOT but he was thrilled with it.

Derby I’m so sorry. Love him and miss him and laugh and cry and rage all you need. Big hugs

It’s so ludicrous isn’t it? My former mother in law lives the other side of the world and we don’t share a language, for all I know she still thinks we’re married...

If only he had taken my ex husband’s approach: he refused to say I’d left for months and would tell people I was “at home feeling ill” or “out with other friends” to explain my absence. He also once faked a phone conversation in order to convince the friends he was with that all was well. He maintained the illusion of

I don’t know how much input Jezebel staff have on ad partners but Wayfair’s involvement with the detention centres at the border make them a particularly poor choice I’d have thought

I wish you miraculous good weather or, failing that, a really large and very waterproof gazebo on sale

Good health to you, your kitties and your people. Mystery ailments are such a bummer. Here's to sensational sleep, with or without meds!

Honestly, I cannot recommend Souffle Sundays enough. And I’m delighted by how well they work without gluten too!

The pull up bar is great, I’m so impressed by your cycling and very pleased it will be optional now you have a vehicle. Also, the woods look absolutely heavenly. Nothing to contribute on e-bikes except “Ooooooooooh, those sound fancy!”

Oh Derby, Facebook sounds tough. I understand the urge to purge the timeline but goodness, have these folks not heard of educating their violent/dangerous friends and associates rather than just chucking them out of the balloon to go be violent elsewhere? Guess not.
