It’s horrendous isn’t it, how immune to hardship people believe they are?! I’ve posted an update on Berlin (probably grey still...ho hum) Would very much value your take!

Ups and downs my dear, we ride them as best we can. I feel confident that your work situation will smooth out as you become more familiar with the gig, and although the crush news is disappointing it helps you know where a boundary is and shift your mind and heart out of that particular gear.
My marriage was ill fated (currently divorcing the monster) BUT I look back on the wedding with nothing but fondness. It was small, cheap (under 3 grand which is about a tenth of the average spend here) and I did almost everything myself but it didn’t *feel* cheap, it felt special and joyous because it was.
Your afternoon sounds as wonderful as your sister is dreadful. What an absurd and unkind thing to take time out of her evening to do!
This is amazing Maya...it's depressing how totally the system is designed to exclude the voices of those who don't "fit." Well done you for giving your time, experience and energy to such an excellent project.
Sending you deep breaths, good sleep and at least a week of absolutely no fucking drama whatsoever!
This is amazing! I think that is an excellent programme pink.
The food sounds delicious and it is 100% valid for you to show them appreciation and generosity and hospitality through food rather than agonising conversation!
I missed SNS so I’m late to the party again, it’s so nice that nobody seems to mind too much.
I went to Berlin. It was amazing! Despite the warning from my friend that the atmosphere would be weird because his relationship is falling apart, and despite the fact that his partner moved out while I was staying (not…
I'll wish it for as long as I need to!
I hope that you find yourself needing the therapeutic input of this video less and less, and watching it for purely recreational purposes.
They’ll still let him dance, right? RIGHT?!
To be fair, sometimes the party for first birthday (whether a splurge or just a pain in the ass to organise) is sometimes not even for the parents. I’ve been to many that are for the sole benefit of older siblings who know that parties are how we celebrate people and would be upset at a cake-and-present free day. (Upse…
I lived with a microwave and kettle for a year, it certainly teaches you to be resourceful!
Thank you my dear, ive been doing my best. Home tomorrow afternoon so I’ll be able to process it all then. For now im enjoyingmyself and trying to remember it's not about me!
Absolutely feel this, but still...I don’t want to be the vehicle for anyone else’s pain, even if it’s projected and nothing the hell to do with me!
Once a friend of mine got so wasted she was incapable of adult responsibility and so her boyfriend removed her tampon and put a fresh one in before putting her to bed. Make sure you’re ready to return the favour if need be.
Have a look in charity shops for microwave cook-books...they always seem to have a bunch and theyare full of the most wonderful, innovative ideas! Also you can lean a tin of beans on the button of a kettle to boil rice-in-a-bag or potatoes.
IVery only eaten kholrabi in the middle East. Peel it, slice it very finely, toss with shaven fresh fennel in good olive oil and salt. Salad heaven on a plate!
I’m late to the party, I know.
I’m in Berlin! I made it! It’s an amazing city and I love it at least as much as everybody has always said I would.
Before I left I got a heads up from the friend I’m staying with that he and his gf are having some relationship issues so the atmosphere would be weird and I’d have to…
