Zero Mission was different enough from the original Metroid that I’d call it a new game. It had substantially different gameplay due to including Super Metroid’s upgrades, it had new areas and bosses, and it had a new ending. It was as much a new game as Super Metroid was a new game after the original Metroid, despite

Twitch streamers with young kids always seem to have little moments like this.
Ryan Haywood of Rooster Teeth (SortaMaliciousGaming on Twitch) has two young kids and half his streams usually start with him desperately trying to get them to go to bed.

I think your skepticism/suspicion is very healthy, and I’m glad there are skeptics out there. I just wanted to offer a counter example: I played super Metroid for the first time a couple of years after the 360 came out despite growing up with a Super Nintendo, and I was (and still am) absolutely blown away by it...

I get comments like this a lot when the topic comes up and it always feels reductive. I actually want to take time to address it. The idea that people don’t play through the entire game is really absurd. In order to find tricks, runners and hunters have to play through the game as intended to understand mechanics and

Totally respect that you’ve at least thought it out, even if I don’t totally agree. I wasn’t fond of the recycled Iron King, since I wasn’t fond of him (at ALL) the first time around either. I did like the Blue Smelter Demon though. Taking an enemy and making him terrifying by just changing his animation speeds and

I thought all the DLC for 2 was great ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Uhhh I’d disagree pretty hard. That DLC was top, way better than stock DS2. In fact it basically redeemed the game once it was packaged in. The Sanctum City was wonderful, and the bosses were good. I can understand saying stock DS2 was cheap and recycled, but that DLC was top. What bothered you so much about it?! It

Stock DS2 would be at the bottom, I agree, but with the now long-bundled DLC I think it’s a great game that basically goes toe-to-toe with 3. It’s a pretty stellar all around package, when packaged.

Now about that Kings Field reboot...

There are all sorts of assholery that you have a right to do, that’s got nothing to do with if it’s a dick move. I have a legal right to call every poster here an asshole, cheat on my boyfriend, write long letters to the government about why they should legalize kicking puppies, and attempt to pay all my bills in

Right? Like these guys have played the game beginning to end more times than I’ve thought about it. At this point they’re just playing with the engine. It’s like someone doing donuts in a parking lot and saying “hey that’s not how you drive a car on the highway!”

You understand they aren't speed running these games on there first try? It takes countless hours of practicing and running through the game to find the optimal run.

I have the OoT 3DS, the ALBW 3DSXL, and the Majora’s Mask N3DSXL (woo letters!)
