It’s a plastic screen, it’d be damn near impossible to crack unless you took an ice pick to it. Flip side is that it’s VERY easy to scratch, but that’s why I’d recommend a screen protector.

Man, unlucky. My Switch is working great. Gets hot but never overheats. Did have my joycon desync once but I was pretty far away.
I think your skepticism/suspicion is very healthy, and I’m glad there are skeptics out there. I just wanted to offer a counter example: I played super Metroid for the first time a couple of years after the 360 came out despite growing up with a Super Nintendo, and I was (and still am) absolutely blown away by it...…
Nah, it’s fine, you’re totally allowed to not be interested. Anyone is. You had a very nice comment above mentioning how you respect the skill involved, that’s why I wanted to preface my response. I don’t really like football, but I respect the skill involved and don’t have any beef with the people who do watch…
Preface: this is kind of addressed to you, but more to just these strangely passionate anti-speedrun folks in general, and those who seem to have massive beef with glitches being a part of speedruns.
Why do innocuous comments sometimes sit in “pending approval” territory...? Kinja’s inner machinations deeply confuse me
I disagree with the weapon durability thing, but at the same time looking at how polarizing it is I think it’s almost entirely a matter of taste. Some people like it, some hate it, no one is wrong.
You can...
Totally respect that you’ve at least thought it out, even if I don’t totally agree. I wasn’t fond of the recycled Iron King, since I wasn’t fond of him (at ALL) the first time around either. I did like the Blue Smelter Demon though. Taking an enemy and making him terrifying by just changing his animation speeds and…
They said so, yes. Miyazaki doesn’t want to overdo the series. This is the end, sadly. But I respect their artistic integrity.
Uhhh I’d disagree pretty hard. That DLC was top, way better than stock DS2. In fact it basically redeemed the game once it was packaged in. The Sanctum City was wonderful, and the bosses were good. I can understand saying stock DS2 was cheap and recycled, but that DLC was top. What bothered you so much about it?! It…
I’m not sure why you’re so burnt out on Souls (though I respect your opinion), but I absolutely do not believe it deserves to be retired. They can stop making it for creative reasons, sure, but the gameplay and formula is still very solid IMO, much more than Nioh. Nioh was good but full of weird fluff and bad level…
Stock DS2 would be at the bottom, I agree, but with the now long-bundled DLC I think it’s a great game that basically goes toe-to-toe with 3. It’s a pretty stellar all around package, when packaged.
That’s over-exaggerating just as much. You’re just reversing the hyperbole.
The Master Sword is NOT easy to get... but it’s NOT very hard either. All you need is to make it to the Lost Woods and have 13 hearts. You start with three hearts, 4 shrines = 1 heart, so 10 shrines * 4 = 40 shrines. You also get a heart…
Fucking seriously! I was REALLY deep in the PSP scene when this was first discovered, and people went banana hammock over it. When they said it wasn’t coming out, everyone was devastated, especially based on how good it looks. Now I’m mainly on my 3DS, and I would do anything Todd Howard wants for a release!
Fire Emblem is... Okay. But regardless of that, the 3DS has a STUNNING library and I’d recommend you pick the system back up, if not FE.
I agree on the Dark Souls / Arkham City point completely— for their type of action, they’re quite definitive. I would posit that there’s a third type that hasn’t quite had a modern perfection though, something like (the 3d) Ninja Gaiden 2 or DMC3 on harder settings. That insane, reflex-perfect 3D combo-based combat.…
Lunatic... Casual.
