Nitrous tube subwoofer box and an upside down can of air for a fake purge
The 2000’s called and you answered the phone screaming “I WONDER IF YOU KNOW HOW THEY LIVE IN TOKYO”
You need to try to find what’s now unobtanium. A nitrous tube looking subwoofer box.
I haven’t bought a new car since 2005, and I currently only own 04 and older cars. But this I would buy ALL DAY. Simple interior, 80’s looks, and a wagon would be PERFECT. I drive an 87 LeBaron during the summer months and an 89 caravan in the spring and fall. This would be amazing to go into my collection.
Those Space Millennials are coming for you!
I row gears for 3-4 hours a day depending on traffic. For the few times I get miserable in traffic, the payoff is worth it.
I’d personally get another beater. Something maybe a few years newer, but cheap, 4 cylinder, manual trans, and NA. I commute about 35K a year. I put some miles on my 5 speed swapped 89 caravan, some on my NPOND SRT swapped LeBaron, and the rest in a few dodge neons I have. Cheap, 5 speed, the “fun” one gets about…
I currently do 140-150 miles commute a day. To buy what I currently have, in a good school system where I work in VA, I’d have to pay millions to have a half hour commute, vs the 185K I paid in PA. 2.5 acres, 2 car garage, a barn, and one neighbor I talk to once a year.
I’m waiting for the day a sub $2000 EV shitbox falls in my lap....
What could have cleared this up was a rental agreement between you and your father. But I’m sure he got it cleared up.
Not every state will let you register an older car with just a bill of sale. In PA, it’s nearly impossible for an average person. This process lets people legally register a car, so that they can then take it to the PA DMV and show ownership and let them get the vehicle registered in their own state. Or, just lets…
How did you get the VIN verification done? Or was it even necessary to do the registration?
So, I live in PA, and I just bought a car off of my buddy, who no longer lives in PA. In PA to register a car, you need to go to a notary and have them notarize the transfer. Since our schedules don’t line up very often, and we live about 3 hours apart, I’m probably going to register the car in Vermont with a bill…
You also see this with a lot of people who “travel for work”, and aren’t in the state 30 days at a clip.
Yeah I think Hagerty is a little bit bigger of a fish than Vermont. Also, Vermont doesn’t give a fuck.
It’s easy to use Vermont to re-brand or simply show ownership if you obtained a vehicle without a title and just a bill of sale. Or even in Pennsylvania, if I buy a car late at night, and there are no title shops open, I’m hosed, because they require a notary so you can do a title transfer “legally”. Or, if I want to…
Less taxes and no inspection so they can do what they want.
God I want to import one of these SO BAD.
I live in PA right on the Maryland border, and I’d say 90% of my driving is outside of PA. More often than not, I’ll buy a beater, register and insure it, and never get it inspected, unless I get pulled over. I’d say over the 4 years I’ve been in PA I’ve only got caught 2 or 3 times, over the 8 or 9 cars I’ve…
I’ve been having the idea lately of finding a small 4wd with a blown up motor and swapping in a predator 650cc motor to let my son drive around the property. If I could get tags on it, it would make an interesting vehicle to drive to Walmart on the backroads here, and I bet it would be faster than the Changli!
