I just want you to know, you were close. There was a DeLorean put on a VW chassis for BTTF3.

My dad told me the city busses where he grew up in Tennessee had these types of rear ends. He said one of the bus drivers would kick it into “high” between second and third gears. He always told me if he won the lottery he wanted to put one of these types of rear ends into an “old hot rod like a 57 Chevy”.
What’s the defining line on running? I have a few cars that “need some work” but could start and maybe drive to the store.
I caught bits and pieces of Christine as a weirdo 5 year old. I’ve always wanted to wrap the speedo in a 58 Plymouth since then.
These are the simplest cars to work on to be honest. If someone wanted to become a car enthusiast an Omni or a k car is the perfect introductory car.
Depends on the price point too I suppose. I’m looking at 20-24k cars for my next daily.
That’s actually a cool concept. It’s not that much in materials either to add that. I have a 100 amp sub panel in my garage because I want a welder and air compressor out there. Will help when I eventually get an EV car.
If I can get a guaranteed 175-200 mile range vehicle and it can charge in 6 hours or so (I have 220 in my garage) I’ll probably end up with an EV. I drive 120 miles round trip for work and honestly wouldn’t mind having a nice EV for a daily.
Am I the only one that’s confused here?
This guy also made a mount for his neon to carry his snowmobile. Very unsafe.
Too true. My s10 with its 251k mile 4l60e gets grumpy when I first start driving and doesn’t like to shift into OD or lock the converter. On the other hand, I don’t give it a choice until I’m 10 minutes into my drive and leave it in 3rd.
Funny, I always hate not being able to pump my own gas when I go to New Jersey. My wife makes a point to stop in Delaware to get gas whenever we drive to NJ. She hates it worse than I do.
What I want doesn’t exist I don’t think. I want something slightly larger, but a wagon or hatch, 250-300HP and manual that gets 30+ MPG since I have a long drive to work (120 round trip). A dodge magnum wagon with a pentastar v6 and a 6 speed would be pretty good but slightly too big something a little bigger than a…
Slot mags even look good on modern challengers.
It’s not stock and it’s a lot of fun.
I need to get rid of 5 cars. And buy Ballaban’s Yugo. I also need to dedicate more wrench time to them.
I’ll agree a mid 80's beater with no AC is god awful. But the fairmonts were based on the fox body platform. Anything you do to a mustang you can turn around and do to a fairmont (or LTD depending on the year). It can be an interesting, yet not very amazing performer.
I feel like my potential thief would’ve been only horribly disappointed. There was a band locally to me that had all of their merchandise stolen including CDs and t shirts and I wish I had been able to see the face of the robbers when they realized they had worthless items.
I do miss my tape collection and later on my CD collection. But I will say generally I just turn iTunes onto shuffle and put the phone in my center console. I’m stuck with whatever it’s playing until I stop. It could go from 80's style synth wave to black metal and then acoustic music. It’s a lot like my mix tapes…
I enjoyed having CD’s until my collection was stolen in 2009 from my van that I lent to a friend. It had a ton of local bands and albums that will never be put out again.my heart was broken. At that point I decided I would only use an MP3 player of some sort from there on out. At that point I had a windows phone I…
