Maroon and wood paneling is pretty good too.
Fairmonts aren’t too bad when you put a chevy plant in them.
The SRT-4 drivetrain is really a great option.
I only wish I was in Texas so I could help John with his project.
This article is so amazing and touching. My dad was a car guy in a sense. He loved reading about them and dreaming and had some amazing cars before he got married and then had kids. He had a 70 XK-E, a 65 Ferrari, and a 69 GT6 at varying points. When I was born he was driving a 78 Subaru GL Wagon. We bonded over…
Should’ve dumped everclear in there. I’m sure it would’ve ran.
Yeah there was a long build thread on turbododge from the guys that built it and I posted a little on turbo-mopar. It’s a fun car for sure.
The car was built in 2008, and was done extremely cleanly. Honestly having messed with both the 2.4 SRT motor is leagues better than the 2.5, and has more aftermarket support. It’s just a better platform, and is more efficient.
That’s the plan eventually but I want a bigger turbo on my SRT swapped k car first.
I already have this, it’s a 5 speed swapped 3.0 grand caravan. Averages 26 MPG on the highway. But I don’t drive it during the winter, it’s from Texas and I don’t want it eaten up by salt like my 93 was.
Canyonero!
Honestly when the one ended up in Lemons a while back I thought it was the one from Craigslist to me. Now I know where 3 of the damn things are lol.
I beat you to that post ;). I actually drove past the house one day back in 2009 or so randomly. Guys had it forever. I guess he’s just waiting for the right buyer to come along.
Tags are up to date. They literally can’t and won’t do anything because it’s not a hassle.
Just going to use my neon SRT-4. It gets good gas mileage for the long trips, can fit me, my wife, and our 2 little kids. “Unfortunately” I can’t take anyone else with me and not enough room to pack for an overnight stay.
Most efficient way to convert a car to electric is use a manual transmission.
That means out of the few of these that were made, 2 of them ended up in my home state Maryland. This one in slightly better condition is for sale. Millersville is about 25 minutes from Bolton Hill. I’ve dreamed about buying the one off Craigslist to try to change the batteries and motor with a more modern setup but…
When she’s absolutely ready to buy, that $5k is gonna look nice to her.
Haha, I remember that place. There was a music venue/pool hall around there that my old band played at a few times. Crazy small world.
