They were truly terrible. The first time I saw an East German car was on the autobahn right after the wall fell. It looked hopelessly outclassed by even our old Ford Taunus.

A non-running V-12 Jag, god have mercy on you!

It will be interesting to see a diesel 24volt Land Cruiser. I have seen a socom modified Wrangler that had a diesel and 24v power system.

Amen shipmate!

This, so much this. If you don’t want to spend the money on a 220v 3 stage air compressor, just buy an electric. It will be cheaper and produce tremendous amounts of torque. I use a 1/2" corded Makita impact wrench.

Only 3 Tesla stories today, you guys are slipping.

This is some dumb shit. The design of the ‘super dangerous only fer killin’ dagger is pretty weak. The most effective dagger designs were perfected back in the middle ages. It is hard to beat the rondel dagger as a pure fighting and killing blade.

The only way to fix it is to sand the old clear off and respray the bad panels.

HMMWV is a Humvee not a hummer.

Be careful grinding or welding galvanized steel. Zinc poisoning is not fun.

Not on Jags. Directional indicator is on the same side on LHD and RHD cars. Japan is just weird.

Old Jaguar quality wasn’t that bad. Now excuse me while I check a CEL on my Jag.

I live near I95 in NC and I have some experience wrenching on British cars.

I just had a weird road rage incident yesterday! I was in front of a white Kia that had his brights on and was blinding me. Eventually we ended up beside each other at a stoplight. We had our windows down, and I told the guys that I thought their brights were on because they were blinding me. I guess they took issue

A pro Tesla article on jalopnik, didn’t see that coming. How dare someone doubt Elon Musk’s genius!

Does Elon Musk own someone’s soul at gawker or something? It seems like there is a Tesla/Elon Musk story everyday somewhere on the gawkersphere. I live in a mixed rural urban area and the idea of people in this area buying electric cars is laughable. It’s an admirable goal what they are trying to achieve, but the

The XK120 is a gorgeous car, and if I had gobs of money I would be sorely tempted to take on such a restoration. They only made 12000 of these cars, so this would be a very worthwhile project. Now excuse me while I go buy some lotto tickets.

As an XJR I can agree with that. But it is so awesome to drive!

As a driver and owner of an old Jag with a supercharged I6, I whole heartedly approve!

I was thinking about this the other day. How do people who park on the street in cities charge their electric cars? What if they have to park on the other side of the street? Are they just SOL?
