I don’t doubt that. There has been lots written on young abuse survivors acting out in overtly sexual manners. That it is trauma makes those scenes in films all the more uncomfortable. I would say that knowing it exists means it should be presented careful in films/TV rather than romantic or the same as a hook up.

I know the purpose of the article is to tsk tsk the south, which ok we should. But other states up north encourage segregation as well, with the whole charter school private school business. It’s something that is happening all over the country.

I am guessing that they weren’t technically not allowing student of other races to enroll, they were just being strict about where you lived and the neighborhoods themselves are not integrated at all.
