So, my (former) high school has had a recent uptick in student suicides the last few years. The first happening my senior year, and the most recent this fall with at least 1-2 per year in between. The current administration, student body, and wider community decided that the appropriate way to mourn the latest was

As someone who has actually done real work lobbying for gun control, I hope that Amy’s selfie is mocking this #WearOrange “slacktivist” nonsense. Wearing orange is bullshit; if you really want change, write your Congressman and Senators and then vote for candidates in November who support gun control measures.

I wrote to another commenter on this thread that this is a deeply dysfuctional family. And I’m willing to bet money there’s a history of problems within that family, possibly generationally, e.g. abuse and children being sexualized by adults either in or outside of the family.

Several states still have their laws drafted like this limiting rape to only women, only penetration and

It was a general, rather than specific “you”. Let me fix it for you:

I’m not going to list previous places I’ve worked online, but there are a lot of feminists who care about this, who do education on it, and who try to lower barriers to male survivors receiving services. There are also feminists who don’t do any of those things. But blanket statements about “feminism” are neither

There’s also a lot of cross-deputizing going on where, for example, tribal police are given limited authority in nearby towns and police in those towns get limited authority on tribal land, where city police are given limited authority in ICE/INS matters, and where sheriffs’ deputies are given limited authority within

YEP.

Thank you. Not “relationship,” either. Predatory behavior and grooming. And fuck that fucking family.

Not “sex.”
