You are correct. My guns are neither safe to operate or locked safely away. Although, I am not sure where people will find a replacement for the broken firing mechanisms. Furthermore, I am not substantially worried about the safety implications of people stealing inoperable guns from the 1780s.

My dad took me out at age 5 and taught me to shoot his .22 rifle at a target. I wanted to shoot his thirty aught rifle, but I was too small. At age 9, I was at a summer camp, and one afternoon we went out and shot .22 rifles at targets. I got the highest score of the camp.
