The answer to the question about laughing is “Yes!!!” Real people do not have the same emotion all of the time, and I’ve managed to reduce domestic abuse victims to gigglefits before.

I’ve seen people on this site watch that trailer and go, “This movie is racist.”

Oh, definitely. Shit, I’m not even going to list all of the shit I’ve caught men faking as being the victim of; the list is simply too long.

And one of the primary reasons it’s not liked in Jezebel comments is there’s a lot of people who find the previews racist.

That would be blackmail, given spousal abuse is illegal. In this case, it would be a case of the blackmailer not getting what they wanted and going public with the info. Keep in mind it does not have to be a true accusation for it to be blackmail.
