Nah. Mental health screenings to get a firearm would do a lot to help, and would likely eliminate most of the deaths resulting from legally-owned firearms. Beefing up the safety courses would likely massively reduce the accident rate.

What I think is the military should have the funding for that plane they don’t want redirected to education on not raping people, funding for mental health, and research into this. If it is coincidental, then we need to find out what the primary factor is. And fast.
