I remain thankful we picked up ours last year right before shortages really started hitting prices, so we were able to get the 3 ROWs for close to typical discounts. I too have a friend that basically gave up because he wouldn’t put the time into car shopping last summer/fall when we were and are in no way interested

I own one although I commute in my wagon most days. I say that having both is awesome, but if I had to choose only 1, I would own the truck without a second thought. I owned and parked it in Boston for a few years and it was plenty doable.

I think he should just call it “Not Full Self Driving ;) 42069"

1st: Musk’s insistence on overhyping his products is going to be his undoing. I get that he doesn’t want to call it some boring jargony thing but if he had just not called it “Autopilot” but something else Tesla would be having few problems at the moment.

Same here. I replaced my car mid-2020 in the slump and was going to replace my wifes car this year but she has 2 cars and no commute so there really is no urgent need to replace it. Right now she gets to drive the fun car more

We were looking to offload my car as I’m WFH for the foreseeable future, but were gonna replace it with a city car for my wife.

This shits me up enough to actually avoid getting an EV until these issues are addressed. I really want to get on board with EVs, but I feel like the whole lot are still essentially a beta test.

i haven’t been in one, but i stopped shitting on it when i saw one in person. it looks so much better live than in photos. i think it’s because it’s much smaller than i thought.

Photos don’t do the Supra justice; it looks great in person. I say this as someone who has no interest in the car, especially because it’s just a BMW.

Yeah, the hate seems to be about the looks, no manual and no Toyota-developed engine more than how it drives, though some criticize its manners for being a bit too GT/luxury coupe and not enough sports car. Haven’t driven one myself, though. FWIW I think it’s a striking car, if not a traditionally pretty one.

Yup. It’s really special in person.

How it was derived is the stupidest thing to criticize it for.

And they look fantastic in person.

They are certainly one of the most “looks better in person than photo” cars I have seen in quite a while. They also aren’t really popular coupled with people just driving less, so there are a lot fewer opportunities to see one in the wild unless you actually want to.

The Z4 being significantly more expensive doesn’t help it.

And not only a sports car, but a sports car with an inline 6

Agreed. There’s one near me with a Mk4-esque hoop spoiler and some front end splitter treatment that looks absolutely fantastic. These cars have grown on me in a big way since they came out.

I would really like to ride in a Supra, but don’t know anybody who owns one.

The Supra is the right answer but...

I know the Mach-E is just trying to copy the Model Y, but this is taking it too far:

It’s not like the Trump proposed livery had the Punisher sticker on the tail and Pepe in the presidential seal. Straight lines on a curved object just look a little derpy.
