I like it. But I also love the Lexus grill which makes me odd man out here.

Sure, it may be the most likely to get to a million miles, but how many owners own one beyond 50k miles, let alone 100k or 200k where the reliability difference probably just starts to show.”

Reliability difference starts to show around 60k miles.

I guess I’ll go ahead and boldly state that I like it. It is in keeping with the brand’s current design language. The interior looks a little clunky in the pics, but it’s not ungodly.  I have no need nor desire to own one of these, but it’s fine.  Totally fine.

Sorry about your E39 (from a former Chevy SS owner). They’ll bury it in mid-day articles. Its deserving of its own article too so they should skip it as just a gear here.

“Pedo-Safety-Board”

You’re misleading and irresponsible.

OK, so let those people pay sticker price (as they can for virtually any car, any time, without negotiation during normal times), but why the fiction that the MSRP has no profit baked in, no room to negotiate, and consequences for the dealers for exposing the fiction?

I’m really interested in the Lightning and have exactly no interest whatsoever in an F-series of any other stripe, so... not a cannibal.

Agreed, and at least initially I believe many of those sales will NOT be cannibalized sales from the gasoline-powered F-150. A good percentage of that number will be real sales growth from early adopters who might have otherwise bought another brand, except there is no real competition. Being the first of the big

This whole thing makes no sense.

What is the purpose of Jalopnik comments if not to complain about something?

Exactly. In the 11 years that the for ranger was for sale since 2005 it only broke 80K units sold 4 times and two of them were 2019 and 2020 after they were not offered in the US for 7 years.

Never forget, for the Jalopnik staff, there’s zero reason that anyone could have for not switching to an EV immediately. That goes double for those nasty pickup drivers.

Exactly - the marketshare of electric cars is maybe 2% and here is Ford saying their orders are already at 10% for their most popular product. So I definitely rolled my eyes at that comment.

But Ford should over promise and under deliver if they want to be successful in the EV market.

+1 came here to say this

NOT that fast/powerful, NOT that useful since it’s 2-people only, NOT especially collectable with that mileage. WAY overpriced for a 16 YO truck.

I suppose you want 69 stars for that joke.

Yup. The MR2-S makes a Miata seem like a cargo van.
