The exterior is certainly more sophisticated, but the interior, where you spend most of the time, is a let down. Ignoring the materials which as the story said, are cheap even for a cheap car, that door sill photo with the wheel shows how high the door goes and it’s above your wrist when holding the wheel so it’s

You are correct.  Coke is better than Pepsi.  This is just an objective science fact.  I am a scientist, so I can make that statement.

For once, a situation that probably could have benefited from a focus group.

For decades enthusiasts have been screaming for more affordable RWD sporty cars and when companies build them this happens.

Alright but for the record I call dibz on the piss 10 out of 10 times.

First word of the article. You probably skipped it, like I did, thinking it was a caption.

Low bar these days, but points for volume control knob, switches, push buttons.

I will be flamed for this comment, but, meh.

Counterpoint... The Fenders on U-Haul trailers are too high. Most people don’t know they are actually hinged so you can swing them down and get your doors open to get in/out of your car when it is loaded.

It looks nice. I’m always wary about getting someone else’s project, especially since so many of these builds are done with homebuilding skills and not necessarily automotive skills. Skills that may or may not be code compliant let alone RV or automotive code. There is a lot that’s done with these “domestic” builds

Came here to say the same!  I’m in NYC and any bridge crossing with an oversize load is preplanned and escorted well in advance.  Could they have not at least checked the rail schedule???

The escort vehicle is in the video.

No there is a LOT of regulations and rule moving loads that size. It appears they missed the exit they were supposed to take and took a bit to long trying to make the turn.  One would think they would have been in better communication with the railroad and known where the train was.

Several States require police escorts for oversize loads.

Mistakes were made.

I’m not a fan of these blade accidents.

It’s actually a thing, though; any idiot can call-up the police department and request for road closures and such.

At least the cab got across the tracks in the knick of time, still probably shaved a few seconds off the poor drivers life expectancy.

the truck carrying the turbine blade failed to clear the tracks on time at a railroad crossing

IMO, the rural life on acres is pretty sweet, and being within walking distance of your needs is pretty sweet, it’s the in-between suburbs of 8000sqft lots and needing to take a car to go anywhere further than the mailbox that makes no sense in retrospect.
