They will chalk it up to progress and say that you aren’t a visionary like Elon, so you couldnt possibly understand. They will likely also call you poor by saying you are jealous and probably can’t afford a Tesla anyway, much less a $1,500 upgrade and subscription fee.

I bitched about this on twitter and I have a model 3, the weird nerd army descended on me instantly.

When they are brand new dealers will undoubtedly mark them up and order heavily optioned units for their inventory. But I’m sure you can work with a reputable dealer to order the spec you want if you are willing to forego being the first to show up at your local C&C with a C8 Z06.

I’m sure hypothetically one could be had for $80-85k. But I bet virtually all the ones on “dealer lots” will be over $100k. Still a bargain compared to the competition. But, uh, not a “bargain.”

I’d honestly rather start with a blank slate at that point, that skoolie build looks like it was built with whatever extra stuff they had laying around.

I wouldn’t spend that kind of money, either, which is why I’d rather make my own bus.

I quit my job and went all vanlife as fuck.

The statistic on autonomous driving fatalities is going to be really skewed when Ford starts testing the Mach-E near a Cars n’ Coffee.

I saw a BRZ with a plate hat read, “NO TORQ”. It made me smile.

There’s a Tahoe around here that’s a few years old with “350HP V8" as its plate. Congratulations on your base engine?

Honestly, I don’t think we’re anywhere remotely close to being a decade away from seeing level 5.  There’s so many edge case driving scenarios that any random human could handle that we seem nowhere near solving on a robotic level.

I too am upset that I cant sell my apartment in the hot housing market because I am merely renting it from someone else.

My wife had this on her VW Sportwagen when we lived in VA, and it now lives in our garage.  It’s an homage to Always Sunny.  Funny thing is, she got it in the fall of 2012 and soon after had a knee surgery, meaning she was parking in handicap spaces for a few weeks as she got out, then grabbed her crutches, and walked

If you want to make money selling a thing you own, step number one is actually owning it.

IMHO this doesn’t bother me. You don’t own the vehicle when you lease it, so technically speaking the equity is not yours until you take ownership of the vehicle. Unless you leased something terrible, any vehicle leased 2-4 years ago is going to have a residual well below the current market.

Or eliminating cars altogether?

Every single Tesla with a smug reminder that the car is electric. Non-Tesla EV owners don’t seem to do this nearly as much.

Every shift isn’t about EVs for a change?!?

Saw a woman driving a Jeep Cherokee type thing with “LUV2SQRT”
