Jason is elven in size. He may wish to be taller at times, but he can fit in places most men can’t.

This is the dilemma i’m in at the moment. Wife wants to go buy a minivan RIGHT NOW and i keep telling her we should wait.

*Buys depreciating asset*

The problem with a model 3 it is far away from being a luxury cruiser.

If you don’t buy an LC, so help me ...

You clearly missed the part where he said he is from San Fran.  After that I just remembered those living in fantasy land are going to be very hard to please.

Mercedes with the solid choice!! I’d say go a little newer and get the LS460! Smooth driving and bulletproof engine. low mileage examples can be had for way under budget!!

Here’s what I read: Fred’s parents are offering to buy him a sedan worth up to $75k, IF he comes to visit them at least once a week for the next five years. After five years, they will turn over the title of the sedan to Fred - it is then his to do with whatever he wants....

Starred because though I may not completely agree with your line of thinking, I respect that you went with something way outside the box. You also backed up your argument with a plan to make the car fit the buyer. Tip o’ the hat to you!

Damn dude you all over this thread jerkin off Tesla, take a break!

Here’s my idea. I think it checks all the boxes, other than factory stereo.

Sounds like the only question is “what’s the fastest way to depreciate the most?”, then.

Luxury cruiser that won’t depreciate = luxury cruiser whose depreciation is already done.

OK, first off, he says regularly commuting to see his parents, not daily.

Some people live in a different “real world”

Here’s what I read: Fred has a pretty good job. Fred already has 2 cars. Fred just moved out of his Parents house. Fred still wants to see them every weekend. Correct answer is the Lexus, and let him find out how miles affect resale value in 5 years

Fred is in for a rude awakening as to how the real world works.

Is that so they don’t have to figure out how to make decent panel gaps?

Cybertruck isn’t the first to do unibody instead of traditional body-on-frame. There have been others and done successfully. Unibody construction has weight and safety advantages. And it does indeed reduce manufacturing complexity as well.  Rant all you like, but it really does not appear to be “phenomenally dumb.”
