I’d say it’s more  the sunk cost to his (and the company’s) ego. The Lighting is going to crush the Cybertruck in a way that none of his models have been before. He’s probably getting the public ready for that by saying “oh well it might be a flop because it’s actually too inventive.”

If you want a good Clarkson fix right now, I highly recommend Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon. The premise is him trying to farm the 1,000 acres he bought in the mid 2000s, and which until 2019 a real farmer farmed for him. It’s Clarkson at his self-deprecating best, with much of the obnoxiousness that came through in later

I still love this show. Not it’s not Top Gear in it’s prime but I’ll take these 3 idiots doing car things any day.

Jalopnik can spend its money however it wants, so keep throwing it at Shilling, Orelove, and Hodge for all I care, though it would be nice if Jalopnik also threw it at people with fresher ideas on how to make an interesting car blog. I don’t begrudge Shilling, Orelove, and Hodge for taking the money, as they are paid

Alanis King used to always be on this crusade against car shows that consist of three middle aged white dudes doing whatever. I think everyone who is left after the Spanfeller exodus carries the torch just because.

Since Jalopnik writers get their positive and negative battery cables confused, I think we can forgive Clarkson for not figuring out the upside-down air cleaner lid.

He’s really not that old, only 61. He’s just looked like a fat 85 year old for the last 15 years for some reason.

Mazda has the best red. Period.

Jeep. Mostly on the Wrangler/Gladiator, but some of the colors seem to be making their way to other models as well.

It’s Ram for sure. Look at this lineup:

All depends what you mean by base.

That’s because you can’t get a base spec truck anymore. “Base model” trucks now would’ve been mid to upper trim just 20 years ago.

Automakers Are Leaning In On Their Moneymakers And Raking It In

The one in my Lexus is reached through the glovebox. No tools required, you open the compartment, put on the gloves you have in there, then remove the plate at the back and swap out the filters.

Our two DDs, Honda Fit hatch and Chevy Sonic hatch, are both pretty easy. “Unsnap” the glovebox door and it’s right there, with its own door that unsnaps and the cabin filter and/or holder slides right out and back in.

BMW E39. Open hood, unclip air filter housing cover, replace air filter.

No one really cares.

The V35A FTS. I think it’s practically a sure thing as the next base engine for the Tundra.

I’m driving a Tacoma now too. My commute to work is like 12 miles round trip so a plug-in hybrid would work really well for my weekday needs. I’m just not ready to pull the trigger on a full on battery electric truck yet.

huge glass ceiling”??? Hillary should buy one of these so she knows she’ll always be safe in a rollover crash! #POW
