Maybe.

Inefficient cars are kind of “banned”, no?

before a battery drops under 70% of its initial capacity.

No, but I’m not the one who introduced the comparison.

Many people driving 10-15 year old cars aren’t really in a position to be saving for a $7,000 battery.

Part of my response may or may not have been related to being a few years older and not wanting to feel old myself.

it sets an optimistic goal during a time there is already a push and desire for it to happen anyhow.

One lump payment vs spread out over 10 years.

The battery in your 80gb iPod video isn’t $7,000.

1st and Neutral: It isn’t going to happen. 2030 will come and go, and gas car sales won’t be banned in Washington. 2035 will come and go, and gas car sales wont be banned in California.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of millennials as being born anywhere close to 9/11. For the most part, the majority of millennials were in grade school or early college when 9/11 happened. It was certainly an event that shaped our lives.

Millennials are generally considered to have been born between 1981 and 1996. Despite your ever increasing age, you’ll never be an older millennial having been born in 1989.

Good luck finding a running, reliable fit for $2500. You must have your head in the sand if you haven’t noticed the impact of the pandemic on used car prices.

I agree with this. $4,500 these days seems like close to the bare minimum for anything running.

My racism? What? You’re openly claiming people of color aren’t as capable as whites and you’re going to try to call me racist?

This is a good take, they need to drastically increase the threshold to justify a traffic stop. Mirror danglers (which of some sort, have to be on more than 50% of vehicles) are not a justification, neither is a broken tail light. Snag their license plate and mail them a fit-it-ticket for the light.

Maybe it’s because I’m rewatching Breaking Bad, but this looks like it was built by a meth head.

It’s naive to think Ford isn’t also working on what’s next. Projects can occur in parallel.

No, you didn’t do it right.

Seems reasonable, but I’ll let you explain why it’s irrational.
