Neutral: By projects I assume you mean car projects. Mine is just kicking off. I picked up an MR2 Spyder this weekend that I hope will be a cheaper means of filling my itch for a Lotus Elise/Exige. The first thing that needs to be addressed is the top. There is a small chance I’ll be able to find a hard top, but I’ll

Those high interest rates aren’t pure profit. They cover the enormous risk that comes along with lending to a consumer with a history of not paying their debts. Repossessing a car is costly. It’s not Nissan’s responsibility to decide whether a consumer should or shouldn’t make a financial decision. People need to have

That customer already ruined their own life and credit. Giving someone without credit a means of purchasing a car isn’t as horrible of an act as some of yall are making it out to be.

If the lending is being done by Santander Consumer USA and Global Lending Service, there is virtually no downside to Nissan. Those companies are assuming the risk.

I need to replace the top on my MR2 Spyder. It sits in the garage and is only driven on nice days, so it’s not that pressing. Having replaced soft tops on other convertibles, it’s not something I’m looking forward to.

It’s all just political posturing. ICE vehicles wont be banned in CA by 2035. CA’s electrical grid can’t even handle the load on it currently.

I know why. Other cars are not compatible with Tesla Superchargers at all.

Crappy = Career Jeep Boost?

It seems the swap parts are either made for that gen Si transmission, or for the RSX transmission. Unless I just happen across the PNN4 tranny, I’ll probably just look for a whole k20a2 swap for now for simplicity, with the idea I’ll add LSD later as funds allow. I’d prefer to get it form somewhere like Hmotors or

The total price for the end product doesn’t seem so bad. I’m expecting to spend between $15-20,000 all in. Little things keep popping up, like why would I spend $2000 for a k20a2 and transmission, plus $800 for LSD if I could just get the Type-R K20A and transmission which already has LSD for $4000. Wouldn’t that be

This one really resonates with me. I’m into cars and my wife is into horses. There aren’t many hobbies that are more expensive than those two things. I really wish I hated cars.

Hopefully a Toyota MR2 Spyder and I intend on K-swapping it. I want a Lotus Elise/Exige, but I have a baby on the way so I don’t have Lotus money for a weekend car. I do have k-swap money though. I think it should be a fun project that yields something unique that is Elise-esque (2200lbs, mid engine) without the

1st: Does it really need pointing out that people who work in factories can’t build cars from their kitchen table?

I’m hoping to buy an 18 year old car this weekend for $7,500 with the idea that I’ll put another $10-15,000 into it. So yeah, probably that.

What do you think the chances are that those safety chains weren’t from Harbor Freight?

I’m 1b because I’m 13lbs overweight. I find that ridiculous but hope to use it to my advantage. My wife is pregnant and I’d like to get the vaccine as soon as possible to reduce the risk to her.

I just looked at some data for my health district (combination of a few counties). It’ll take them 45 more weeks to get through 1b at their current rate. Then they’ve indicated they will open it to 1c before the general population. 1c should be a a large chunk of people in my district as it includes higher education

Neutral: I keep seeing things about the vaccine becoming available to the general population. My state can’t even finish their priority groups and is booked out for at least the rest of the month. I’d guess this is all posturing; that they’ll officially open things up, but still continue to prioritize people on the

2) I’m pretty sure it’s less than 2% market share in the US.

Right now, Tesla is Blackberry in your example. They are going to get crushed within 15 years.
