I really wish future game consoles would come with “I’m a normal adult” editions that just look like normal things you can put in your living room without it being an eye sore.......

It certainly is the strongest launch lineup I think I’ve ever seen.

It’s a fair article offering multiple strategies on how to deal with a very common, and very expensive, hobby. One that is reasonably likely to be shared by both partners, and by readers of this site.

Teferi should be in every single set tbh

I’d have to agree that mutations aren’t as fun as I expected them to be. In my experience, they’ve just sort of ramped up the RNG of the game, since stars aligning can skyrocket their strength, but it’s often a wasted ability, too.

I’ve long heard AV is the fastest, except maybe something else with a full Blu group.

Praetorium is extremely WFH friendly.

It’s very hard to stop and remember what ideas were fresh in 2012. A lot of what it did certainly isn’t groundbreaking now (and wasn’t necessarily groundbreaking then).

I wonder/hope some of the original members of 38 studios were here to work on this.

It had a lot of interesting ideas though, and sometimes just having ideas is enough to set you apart in this space.

It actually is a highly valuable PSA for people who grew up in a texting world vs. those of us who adopted it from earlier mediums.

When you’re on the receiving end:

EVE is a very different sort of game, though. Players know it’s an unforgiving world, and the devs have always paired new ways to fail with new ways to succeed in updates. And quite often they’re the same thing.

Except that’s not how it’s going to work AND it doesn’t take into account the base wage.

Oh, I also wanted to add that “I bet the vendor just steals it” is an absolutely terrible perspective 100% of the time.

@Slowly Going Mad:

Correct. This reads to me like the restaurant had named the service charge “tip” to try and be transparent about what it was and what it was for. That, to me, is a good business practice.

“I experienced a COVID-19 surcharge as early as late March,” said Jen Smith, who blogs at Modern Frugality and cohosts the Frugal Friends podcast. “I got an iced coffee from a local business that charged me a mandatory 15% tip. I understand small businesses are suffering but taking the choice to tip away from me made

Depends on where you live, but in MANY places stealing tips is illegal and carries a pretty huge fine. Well I say in many places - there’s a federal law protecting tips - but MANY regions enhance those protections further.

Note that this also means the predictive value of your result fluctuates wildly regionally in the country.
