“Hero” for stopping the law from being enforced? Absolutely not. I’m a huge advocate for more immigration into the US (especially from Mexico, Central, and South America). We are a nation of immigrants and our culture grows through immigration as does our economy. There is literally no downside to increased

I guess she means to just hire them for the sake of hiring them. Merit, qualifications - all just gibberish in the way of adding token employees for woke-ening purposes.

WTF- hire survivors?! How exactly is that supposed to go down? Add a question to the job application?

It’s okay to stand against abuse, to agree Rogen should do everything on that list, and to still dislike Ms. Yi.

If over the course of several hundred deals thoughout the year MOST dealers get it right and have no problem sending out the door prices, even on out of state deals...the problem is not the “complexitity of the system” if a FL dealer refuses to send a quote for a Florida customer, especially when their competiton can

Allow me to introduce you the wacky world of Mercedes-Benz W123 diesel estates.

This is probably way too cynical, but...  What the hell was the mom doing? It looked like she walked the kid off of the platform and onto the track, and then pretended that there was some invisible barrier preventing her from reaching the kid.

...and now Silverado guy is both literally and figuratively upside down in that truck.

Grounds for divorce.

I don’t really care what takes your attention away from the road in the simulation, I only care that you aren’t the one choosing when it happens and for how long. As with anything that takes your attention away from the road ahead (checking mirrors, checking guages, checking a text), you can plan ahead, judge the time

Accidents can also happen when you check your mirrors, check your speed, look for a lane change, or have a violent sneeze. It makes perfect sense for device use to have a bearing on fault in an accident, I am even open to adding extra punishment for an accident during device use in order to add a disincentive for

So I know my view isn’t going to be popular in the current safetyist culture, but there is a key difference between this scenario and reality—in reality you choose when to take your attention away from the road, which means you can pick a straight stretch when you have thoroughly checked for any potential dangers. It’s a feel-good little PSA, and I, personally, believe that PSAs are effective at influencing newer generations to make better decisions and accept certain norms.

Now can we get this technology in normal cars for privacy and sun shading when parked? I’ve wanted this for years! Imagine the windows blanking out whenever you locked the car. Nobody can see your stuff inside and it will keep the cabin cooler.

“The clip notes that, despite the fact most people think their eyes are only off the road for a second or two at a time, people are checking their phones or playing with their infotainment system for an average of 4.6 seconds.”

My wife continually tells me she has no problems texting and driving.  I won’t ride with her.  Period.

Not to defend distracted driving but startling someone and taking away 100% of their vision really isn’t the same as glancing at your phone, when you're distracted you aren't BLIND, at the very least peripheral vision is still a thing

This. It never seemed off to me

I think they couldn’t keep from cracking up, so in order to make this machismo scene work, they had them stand almost side by side. Then spin a tale in the press about not looking at each other, so that they could sound gruff, talk about their deepest insecurities, without making eye contact.

I mean, it’s pretty obvious they’re standing shoulder to shoulder looking past each other. They aren’t making eye contact. Without context, it looks like a weird form of forced perspective but if you actually watch the whole scene it’s not that bad.
