eh, whatever. I can afford whatever truck i want and i drive a 2015 (Xterra) pro-4x. Why pay thousands more for a Taco/4runner when its not any more functional? I wish my SUV had the roll down rear window of the 4runners and that is it. Otherwise i saved thousands and still get out into the backcountry where its

At least the Frontier has 4-wheel disc brakes.

The Nissan Frontier: Dignity for the credit challenged buyers who really wanted a Tacoma.

At what point do people just stop caring about 0-60 times for EVs?

It’s that last part that’s the most fascinating: the Hellcat’s days are numbered, not because consumers don’t want them, but it’ll come down to those engines being regulated out of existence.

Surely most of the really fast EVs that currently exist are already traction-limited. I mean, a Model S Plaid will do 0-60 in two seconds. At what point do people just stop caring about 0-60 times for EVs? It just seems like a bit of a party trick that you might try out on a track three or four times (if that) and

His wife just posted on social media a few days ago. Probably wasn’t her top priority since she just lost her husband. Everybody else who knew was being respectful of her privacy.

I want the rise time of my turn signals (and even more so, brake lights) to be as fast as possible, and if the effect is jarring, all the better. The fall time can be as soft as you like, though I’m not too interested in it either way.

I’m sure he could sell truckloads of the stuff to the average supercar owner.  It’s not like those cars will ever leave their garages anyways.

Every single car does this automatically. It’s how defroster settings work.

We deserve slammed performance crossovers. Like a hot hatch scaled up to 125%.

Over here, such a case would be thrown out if the driver is not recognizable, if the driver doesn’t claim it’s him in the video, or if his car’s plates or another highly unique thing aren’t in shot.
And that’s how it should be. Else, the guy making the video could say that i was the person driving a rented audi/lambo

My sister-in-law is like that. She’d rather have a fun life. Meanwhile she’s upside down 3x in car loans, just bought a house they can’t afford and have 4 kids to take care of on top of that.

Always a thrill to see an article about the Ridley Scott Superbowl commercial.

Tom,

On the second question: I would never bring cash with me for a private sale.

“Don’t shoot cars with a wide angle lens” get fucked. Move your feet. If you have a wide that can focus decently closely you can get some amazing shots. I also like that shot he showed with the wide close to the 911. It’s a nice shot. Who cares if it’s distorted? But I’d go wider than 24mm. F around with something

Honorable mention to Steven Soderburgh’s Solaris (2002). I think it plays as a distilled remake, rather than a Hollywood dumbing-down of Andrei Tarkovsky’s ambitious and memorable classic. It also reminds us that Soderbergh was casting Viola Davis long before she broke through to the Hollywood elites.
