They would kick them out because other ground forces might be able to use air assets. Or they wouldn’t have any use of the specific assets. Vipers got kicked for AH or other way around depending on the weapon effects. Although I’ve never seen A-10’s being kicked out before. That being said Hellfires are a mighty good…

What would you do with the Gripen? It’s electronic suite is not near as capable as other 4.5 gen airframes. Let alone gen 5 when finished. It is the same as modern F-16. So why bother? I am no fan of the F-35 either, but that has everything to do with the cost and not with the projected capability.

When you autorotate there is no torque in the system so you won't need a tail rotor to counteract.
Yes Gliders have a pitot static system so they know their airspeed. The string is indicative for coordinated turns.
It is a trailing cone pressure transducer. It is used to measure the static pressure.

Imho most American versions of series or movies can't hold a candle to the originals produces in other countries. Netflix's House of Cards being a notable exception.
