Awwww ya. Bring back cool vans. The current van market is abysmal. And the EV chassis is perfect for a van. It’s just a box on a skateboard platform.

I disagree. That Miata with 100% of engine torque available at zero RPM would be a riot. Without engine vibration the tire feedback becomes much much better. This is a thing with electric motorcycles and it’s what makes them so quick around a track. Plus I bet the weight bias moves towards the rear of the car.
Pulls the DUI list (from 2022)...
So, as an engineer, I can do calculations!
An Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is a normal, average car??
Another unusably fast, unobtainably expensive supercar that will almost exclusively be purchased by middle eastern oil barons and stored indefinitely with delivery miles in a sealed warehouse. The writeup/article is good and I don’t want to discount that, but man it is hard to care about new releases like this.
Me looking around cagey like thinking about the max performance summer tires I've gone through on my Miata...
Which electric, body-on-frame truck with 8-bolt hubs was that?
CT5-V Blackwing. There’s no more exciting combination than a supercharged V8, manual transmission, and long roof.
These electric door releases need a redesign. There should be one handle per door. Half a pull - electric release, full / hard pull - mechanical.
Wide angle shots can't make this abomination look pretty.
I really don’t “get” the sub-brand thing. It was dumb when FCA spun off “Ram” from Dodge, “Wagoneer” from Jeep, it was dumb when chevy mentioned having a “Corvette” subbrand for an SUV, when they Came out with two different Broncos, and it was dumb when they spun “Mustang” into an EV SUV.
I care. It’s dumb, inauthentic and irritating. Additionally I’m sure that bad actors will find a way to make their EVs as catastrophically loud as the current crop of ICE shit-cans with no mufflers tuned to make everyone’s ears bleed by backfiring at any lift of the throttle.
In short: no.
No it’s not. It’s shite.
This is America we’re talking about. Half the country is this stupid.
I appreciate when people have realistic aspirations but if a Tahoe is a dream car for you, then I don’t really know what to say. That’s like negative aspiration.
I agree. I was going to post a comment, but instead, I’ll just sit back and marvel at the greatness that is “incEl Camino”
“incEl Camino”... wow, shut down the net boys, nothing’s ever going to be this funny ever again.
inCel Camino.
IMO it does not make sense to buy an EV if you are planning to rely on a charging network for anything outside of the occasional longer trip. If it is your commuter car, you’d better have a 40Amp+ charger in your garage or dedicated parking space. Anything else and you’re better off with a PHEV, HEV, or just regular…
