Hmmm.. You have a point. Although I think a lot of folks with the same gripes believe they are perfectly rational.

I don’t care what anyone says, I love my Tesla. I don’t care about that buffoon who bought into and owns the company either, it’s plain to see that Tesla has a lot of bright, thoughtful minds at work despite him. If I have to have fart sounds in an app that I never see to get the rest, so be it.

That was a Tire Rack video, right? I’ll have to watch it again, I don’t remember. Looks aren’t high on my list, actually I think the stretch looks pretty good, but I would like to have a little more protection for the lip of the wheel. Especially for the track. The stretched sidewall rolls right over through the turns

I just ran into this changing tires on my Model 3 Performance. Stock tires were 235/35-20 Pirelli P Zero PZ4 and they were stretched over the 9" wide wheel. These tires are made for a few OEMs (and one ‘universal’ ) and the Tesla spec includes the foam sound liner. I wanted to go wider to reduce the ridiculous stock

Roadsters are probably waiting for smaller, lighter battery tech. Or for people to accept less range. My Model 3 P is a bit of a porker at 4080 lbs vs. the Miata at 2300. As for the four seater sedans, I really don’t know. Maybe the market isn’t there yet? A lot of the EVs out there are on SUV platforms, because

I’m a little surprised at all you hoarders. I keep NOTHING in my cars. Nothing in my daily M3P, nothing in the Miata or the Jeep. Zero. Well, maybe not zero, I do carry the reg and insurance cards. But aside from that it’s autox rules all the time, minus the floor mats. Everything I need goes in with me and leaves

Yep. Give me a cheap, stripped down dual motor skateboard with a couple of chairs and a roof. Actually it might be even better without the roof.

‘No one uses a Wrangler for it’s stated purposes’ is just the most ridiculous thing. Sure people buy them and drive them to the mall with the air conditioner on. But I see them all the time, two door, four door, and that goofy pickup, with the roof open or off, and one or more pairs of doors missing. That’s enough for

Good. Buying my Model 3 was the best car purchasing experience I’ve ever had. The same goes for the rest of the Tesla purchases that I’ve been a party to, having driven people to pick up their cars. All the help is there if you need it. None of the pressure or trashy tactics. And if you don’t need anything, your

I’ve driven it for a year. I feel less distracted with this than I do with the touch screen in the F-350, with the wheel in the Miata, or with the touch screen in the Wrangler. I’m not getting on a soapbox about it, it’s just what I’ve found after dailying it. It was as much a surprise to me, like the lack of a manual

Hey, to each their own is right. I’m glad you like it. I have plans to relocate that screen elsewhere to get it off the otherwise clean dash. The Miata infotainment is a joke, and adding AA makes it only marginally better. Again, I’d rather go full analog or full screen because that’s what seems to work for me.

I don’t have issues with this. I touch, it goes. A matte screen protector has eliminated any glare issues for me. It’s absurdly simple, and so effective.

If you think so. I like that everything is on that center screen. What I need is in my eye line on the upper left corner. Nothing else is in my view. Night driving is fantastic. Nothing else is needed. Maybe it looks lazy, after a year I find it’s just what’s needed and nothing more.

MPG and MPGe ratings are only as reliable as the driver. My Model 3 has a rated range of 315 miles, which I can just about hit if I try. But daily driving and enjoying the vehicle puts my range more like 275 miles which is a big departure from the rating. I see the same deviation in the gas cars I drive, the fuel

The only thing I have to disagree with here is the touch screen. I’ve been driving a Model 3 for almost a year and I think the interface is fantastic. It’s far less distracting than the wheel/button thing in the Miata, and it’s easier to use than other touch screen/button-screen setups I’ve had. So maybe I disagree

I’m gonna have to respectfully disagree about the EV/Tesla one. The thing I like best about my Model 3 Performance is that ridiculous hustle. All that power gets to the ground just fine in the dry and the traction control does an outstanding job of complying with my requests in the wet. It’s never a hindrance, never

Agreed. I never believed in a ‘daily driver’ before, I only ever wanted to drive the most inconvenient, suffer-for-the-fun vehicles I could manage. But the Model 3 Performance changed my mind. It’s a glorious mix of pleasant driving and organ-crushing acceleration. It’s dirt cheap to run, invisibly anonymous, and no

It’s not a race.

This Miata

I work mostly from home but I have to go do physical inspections a few times a week at different places. I honestly don’t mind it, I’d go bonkers sitting at a desk all day. I like to drive fun things when I do go out.
