I had a 2003 Sonata and that thing was actually a great and completely reliable car. Not a single quality issue with that thing. I since have gotten a couple more Hyundai’s and, man, just recalls all over the place - mostly with the engines. Definitely seeing a reduction in quality over the years after they’d done so…

couldn’t they just run the plates and find the registered owner? it’s not like these are sunglasses and need to wait at lost and found for someone to claim

Thinking about the circumstances that led to these abandoned cars is quite sad. Could be the owners traveled alone and died at their destination with no next of kin to be found. 

No worries: the base model will require no subscriptions. Instead, you just put your ATM card into a slot on the dashboard when you want to use the radio, air conditioning, reverse... 

That actually had some serious performance over a normal Caliber. Sure, it was still a piece of crap, but at least it was a much higher performing piece of crap.
