my local HEB as the kiosks as a defacto express lane - like 10 or 15 items max. I’ve used kiosks at HEB, home depot, stop n shop, lowes and the movies (to name a few) and have had maybe 5 instances in the last 5 years that i’ve needed assistance. :shrug
