not for nothing, but how the hell does Haven still continue when SGU was cancelled after 1 season. (don’t try to tell me that 20 eps = 2 seasons. stop it). Or Almost Human. There is no justice.

thanks! i pictured it more ala the aerobraking scenario from 2010, but yeah with that you add in drag and other forces (rapid deceleration)...but thanks for the primer! :)
tangentially related; what was the “G force” of NH’s gravity assist maneuver around Jupiter? Like in the distant future, is it something we could use to propel manned spacecraft? would the G forces shred the ship?
I prefer this version:
then I’d learn to take incredibly detailed notes. :) imagine making the encyclopedia of your life? Of life in general? And you’d see where the timelines would deviate based on your previous choices...that’d be amazing. I wish I had the gumption to write a story around this idea. I’ll get to it in my next life.
yeah but where do you think that talent comes from? they’re not brought in on magic fart rockets to Cali; I’d assume a good portion comes from NASA.
these are less iron man and more bono. Ugh.
if we were to only look inward we wouldn’t have left the caves ages ago. This is a dangerously myopic view, to use your terms. Looking outward is a key element to surviving the lion. Plus, plenty of money/resources/people spend time fixing the issues at home. We have the luxury as a society of doing both! I’d mention…
your point is valid; I just disagree with the choice of venue for your post. This really is tangentially related. You’re talking planetary geology/climate/politics while this article is simply a focused journey into decontamination of a space borne object.
if this is the case and the aliens are sufficiently advanced, all they need to do is generate some sort of virus that wipes out us and only us (via our anally probed dna would supply) leaving earth a tranquil paradise to terraform to their multiple hearts content.
came....here to make this same joke. i am not disappoint.
wocka wocka kills me every time. well done.
yep, almost. Kyle is just sublime. Rage to childlike in an instant. genius.
that fight scene was outstanding. They managed to mix of POV with fast movement and yet keep everything visable and not hidden behind quick cuts. Bra-frickin-vo!
Open the pod bay doors, HAL. I’m sorry, I can’t do that, dave.
seriously. it was fun! I’ve never read the source so I guess it didn’t get me upset. Good thing tho, the people that made the movie didn’t destroy all copies of the original, despite the rumors!
ha! that was on last night. I LOL’d.
Mobile Airborne Grouped Nonlethal Unmanned Magnetic - Pulse Initiator. Now with more mustache!
I was hoping for “Strategic Hyper Electro Magnetic Pulse”, actually. nyuk nyuk.
yeah, I was kinda thinking that the terror implications of this tech is far more scary.
