So who keeps the NHTSA‘s budget artificially low so they can’t test every car?  More special interests and lobbying.  

CT owners seem to be doing a bang-up job of crash testing their vehicles on their own. 

It would seem like something as different as the Cybertruck would warrant prioritization....

Shouldn’t the automakers have to give cars for the government to test? Maybe I’m overstepping the reach of our .gov here, but it seems like this should be how all cars are tested. I’m not expecting a niche brand (Bugatti, Rimac, etc.) to give a car for this due to limited production, but I would certainly think…

It may be possible to recover the system by performing a vehicle power cycle: Exit the vehicle, close all doors, reenter the vehicle, and attempt to drive.

In this truck’s defense, lots of things might appear shorter than advertised, but the key is knowing where to measure from. I’d think many Cybertruck owners know what I’m getting at.

The Cybertruck is basically the coupe SUV ie. BMW X6 of pickup trucks. You didn’t buy it for space, utility, off roading, towing, work, ergonomics etc. It is purely a styling exercise.
