The thing is GM actually has a hot selling EV in China- the Wuling Mini. So GM has the know-how to compete head to head with the Chinese car makers. It’s just a matter of whether they will build from that success, or squander it all away in a fit of ‘not-invented-here’ syndrome.

The only saving grace is that this is GM MSRP. So in other words it might not bear any relationship to the actual selling price. 

Yes collector cars are typically parked in a garage and not in the living room. And there is a reason for that. Collector cars can leak oil and other fluids. Tires get driven over all kinds of stuffs and will track dirt and grime all over your house if you drove it inside. And frequently you have to work on these

Those Rothko square paintings are a joke. Anyone trying to claim there is some deeper artistic merit to these things is just a sophist. 

I will agree that these neo-retro 911's look best on 15" wheels. But that’s as far as I’ll agree. The Singer Porsches look great to me. They distilled the essence of these cars.

Right. Start out with a 30 year loan, and then change over to 15 once you’ve paid down enough. But that’s different than saying you should start by buying teh house with a 15yr loan.

Yeah.. given the short distances that are typically involved, I think a slower impact speed is the best we can hope for. A kid will survive a slight bump.

There needs to be a different kind of turn signal that tells the driver behind you, that you are planning to back into a spot. Right now if you drive past a spot the people behind you will either take your spot or follow so close that you can’t back up.

Of course Tesla does extensive testing. That’s what their customers are doing now.
