CA wanted to regulate them, but then Uber and Lyft put a voter initiative (Prop 22) on the ballot, and got special exemptions for the ride-sharing industry. They poured enough money in there to get it passed.

At one point Toyota had a boutique car line called Will, which came up with some ground breaking avant garde designs:

‘on the highway’ being the operative words

Will somebody please tell Toyota that the two tone/ black roof treatment looks ass? It has never looked good on any Toyotas. Since day one. It’s like watching somebody repeat the same joke that wasn’t even funny the first time.

I’m going to just assume you put the Mercedes GLC in there by mistake.

I’m surprised the Outlander PHEV is not selling well. It seems to be a decent enough car.

Wouldn’t that annoy transit riders too?

Instead of harassing TikTok for whatever hypothetical invasion of privacy they maybe doing, Congress should be putting Elon Musk in the hot seat.

That’s not a good counter-argument. There are lots of natural carbon dioxide emissions too. But the problem is manmade carbon and methane emissions, on top of the naturally occuring emissions, upset the natural balance.

My point and position is that lots of things are ‘legislated into existence’.

This is Joe Manchin’s poison pill in action. It’s a nice $7500 subsidy in theory, but it turns out no car qualifies for it after you go through all the fine print.

Please don’t give the Jeff Bezos of the world any new ideas. The last thing we need is the super rich cruising around on private aircraft carriers. Or carrier groups.

I have a problem with the TSA’s existence, the unconstitutional No-fly list, and the 45 minute long security check lines. All of them.   It’s time to kill all of these things, not prolong them into the future.

I am totally fine with cruises and the people who enjoy them. My only suggestion is to make cruise ships stationary. I mean- does it really matter if the boat was really moving around? You’re just stuffing your face and gambling and suntanning anyways. Might as well do all that with the boat parked at the dock.

Did not have the mileage

Actually we had streetcars in every city during that era. We could have developed along that model. Instead we soon got rid of the streetcars, and started building suburbs. And here we are.
