I don’t think I’ve seen a Soltera neither, and I am in the Bay Area, which probably has more EV’s than anywhere else in the US.

I don’t agree that EV’s are boring. We leased a Leaf for a couple of years, and I liked driving it. I love the instant response. Even an inline-4 motorcycle engine cannot match the instant response of the electric motor.
They may have a viable product in their home captive market, but here in the US, their cars are way overpriced and underperforming. I see no path at all unless they cut their prices in half.
the company still apparently has its eye on the prize of a U.S. initial public offering
My family and I consider this issue closed
Yup. I used to fly on a corporate jet every so often out of the San Jose airport, and there was ZERO luggage check or personal checks. The only thing they checked was my ID to see that I was on the list of passengers.
Quite an accomplishment that they managed to make a small manual transmission car with a turbo 200hp engine this unenjoyable!
Range topping out at 220 mile? This is weak.
Nonetheless they still moved 19,200 v twin bikes last quarter. So you know there is still a huge number of people wanting in on that ‘badass persona’
“Yeah! Totally! The Chrysler 200 would be perfect if the wheelbase was just a bit longer”
The most essential elements of sustainable contemporary luxury cars are space and time . . . That’s our number one priority — not another fancy body style
A hovercraft rides on a cushion of air held in by rubber billows. This fan boat is just a flat bottom boat sliding on ice. Not same.
Frankly if I see a solo woman hitchhiker I would not stop, because I would suspect it’s some kind of trap.
We need a fair solution that covers all workers. Not just a lucky few who happen to have political backing.
Actually these air-cooled VW’s are reliable enough to be daily drivers- which you cannot say for most cars this vintage. And they are easy to fix and parts are all still available.
It’s in great condition, but these late model bugs just don’t do anything for me. And if you insist on going late model for safety reasons etc, you should really get the fuel injected ones. A carbureted late model bug just checks all the wrong boxes.
What about the rest of us who don’t have a big union to protect our jobs? The lawyers have their powerful bar associations to protect their jobs. The doctors have the AMA. The nurses have their unions. The teachers have their unions. So all these people manage to protect their jobs while the rest of us get replaced…
If the same guy owns both companies, then how can it be ‘espionage’ for him to transfer IP from one to another?
It’s a bad thing for the rest of us who don’t have the political pull of the big unions. And you know these guys have never lifted a finger in fighting for anyone else’s rights. It’s all about what they can get for themselves.
Anyone can fight to keep their job. But the Teamsters want the legislature to pass a law to protect their precious jobs forever.
