Thats a brilliant initiative. Here in BC they're trying to up the laws, and people are screaming about our civil rights.
Even worse though, taxis regularly refuse to take anyone moderately drunk, busses kick drunks off, and you can't get a skytrain after midnight. They should really look at that Austin model.

If and when he is found guilty, he should be sentenced to life in solitary. Not for his protection, but so he can feel a degree of the isolation that he (allegedly) sentenced this woman to.
