I’m surprised reviewer Katie failed to mention this mid-credits scene as it is kind of a big deal in regards to Nandor and Guillermo’s relationship. Ever since the double scenes in the Jackie Daytona episode credits, that I missed upon initial viewing, I watch ‘til the very end.

NANDOR TURNED BENJI!!!!

?

The writers did a great job of occasionally dropping little glimpses into Hayden-Church’s and Shaloub’s lives (without getting too random or silly) that kept them from becoming one-note. Yeah they were oddballs, but still recognizable as regular people.

Welcome Insterstate Managers is still my secret favorite album, and the pinnacle of the ‘this song got me to buy this album, but I love everything else on it more’.

I know it’s crazy, but this is worth $15K for just the VIN plate. The prices on these are crazy, and most any part of this can be bought on the aftermarket, including the entire body if need be.

Betty Gilpin is terrific. Her facial reactions when she is responding to other characters (usually Bash) being ridiculous on GLOW are hilarious

Betty Gilpan’s facial acting is the best part of GLOW. Shes is a genius with it.

Is that Initech or Initrode?

Thank you for writing these interviews out again, rather than just using video.

I had the same complaint about the movie The Deer Hunter. The Russian Roulette game being presented as something the VC really did with their POWs made them seem just purely evil, with no redeeming qualities and no genuine cause the fight for accept sadism. Maybe some things should be portrayed accurately.

There is a certain callousness to looking at all the horrific shit that really happened in concentration camps and saying "naww, we need to come up with some new shit."

The real reason for flying boats was the fixed pitch prop. Prior to adjustable pitch props you had either a climb or cruise prop, if you wanted to be able to cruise at altitude at a decent speed and at a low cruise RPM you needed a flat pitch prop. This was the equivalent of fifth gear in a car and just like top gear

Seconded, I think your work is head and shoulders above most other auto journalists. The article itself reminds me of years ago when I used to go to Barns & Noble to read the articles in Evo (when Harris was still just a writer there). And you took the photos, which Chevy should be paying you to use! Again, great work!

Loved this! Thanks Danette.

Wow.

He was a great subject. He had real details to share, like the importance of getting the weather right in Bloodline, or explaining how Soderbergh’s directing style was confusing to actors in Che. I get why some actors are reluctant to dish dirt, but they should always be able to provide these kinds of details about

“Do not let your sister die from pain or lose her baby because you are awkward with strangers.” Such a beautiful moment.

I know all things Louie are in exile right now but he was great in the episode where he played Louie’s neighbor and his sister was having a medical emergency.

This is great. Random Roles is the best feature on AVClub and I’m happy it’s back in this format.
