Corporations cannot be evil because their are not capable of being evil - they are constructs that we developed, as humans. Humans can be evil. Corporations are machines whose only real goal is to make money. It is what justified their existence, and it is to their shareholders what they promise to do.
While I agree that the ultimate goal here is for public spaces to be free from harassment that doesn’t mean that our current crop of women should be left out in the cold. The Wing offers a real benefit for women and gender minorities that public spaces very patently do not.
Most GOP retirees don’t have 2 to 3 jobs to balance, so they got that going for them too. I was lucky enough that election day was also my one day off, but I know plenty of other young folks who don’t have that luxury.
