In the video, you can clearly see one of them pushing him first. Which in no way justifies a 51 year old, 6'5, 250lb man getting involved in the affairs of a bunch of tweens, then pushing one, then punching one as hard as he can. We also can’t see if he pushes anyone aside first, as it’s off camera.

Also, there’s almost 50 major leaguers who make as much as the top 7 or so starting quarterbacks in the NFL. It’s certainly no sure thing he’ll rise through the minors in the MLB to be a top 50 player, but I don’t see how you can plainly argue it’s more likely he’ll be a top 7 NFL quarterback.
