Make a ruckus all you guys want. You’ll wait for them to be 5+ years old, then think about buying one. That makes no financial sense for any auto manufacturer.

As is yours. Horse racing, right?

“Wagons are ugly.”

I haven’t done the research, but I feel half of the CUVs on the market have the same cargo space of what its wagon counterpart would have, but with just jacked up suspension. We just have a stupid stigma here in the US thanks to our parents or grandparents.

My god. Can you really buy that in other parts of the world? I’d take that all day over the E Wagon. Too bad neither are in my budget for my fun HPDE car. My new Rover Sport ate up the budget. Now probably settling for a BRZ. That coming from a 991.1 C2S. (sad face, but still so lucky.)

Do we remember? I still see plenty of them out and about, driving! Many are still in really good shape on the outside, usually driven by a younger kid.

This was a fantastic article. Thank you for this.

WRX componentry can’t hold up to a track pounding like an STi. It really is that simple and matters to a lot of us.

Brand new Infinitis, Nissans, Fords, GMCs, Land Rovers, Subarus, one Jaguar, one Lexus, one Porsche..... Every one had their problems. Some much more major than this Tesla. The least problematic was the Lexus.

You know why the STi is still relevant? Some of us do track days. The STi is one of the few cars in that price range that is built to take this abuse. The Focus RS was a failure for that, thanks to the flimsy diff. Anyone buying a newer car for the track knows this is the best choice.

Commentariat: “Duh! It’s so easy!”

If you only knew what my new cars were worth.

With 43 people agreeing that TrueCar is awful, I believe you’re not correct. It’s not clear at all. Not one bit.

I have owned a total of 13 brand new cars and I can tell you that no matter the brand, originn or price, normally they have minor problems. This is not just some random Mazda 3.

Yeah. Too late. I really had no idea. And you’re right. One of the dealers didn’t call, and that’d be the only one I’d call. They also had the best price, oddly enough.

What!? Are you serious!? That’s insane!

Cool story, bro.

Didn’t know that. Just went to TrueCar. What a hoax.

I think close to the same. This might be 27.8k. Either way, that’s not a good price for a 2017 going into winter.

Well-said. All I could think of is how whiny this whole thing sounds. Most on here can’t afford a new car, so they don’t know what having a new car is like. It’s never perfect.
