It was certainly written in a more sympathetic tone than it would have been had this actually been a 30-something man. I doubt his pain would have been acknowledged. And she wasn’t 13 forever.

C’mon. You’re not a “real” man if you’re fabricating a relationship on the internet and persuading (incredibly) gullible people to send you nude photos. That’s not an example of a “power dynamic”, but a pathology. “Any” man wouldn’t be thrilled to engage in this sort behavior.

Does anyone else find it odd that, in the middle of Hollywood imploding over sexual harassment/assault allegations, this story practically gives this woman a pass on being a manipulative pyscho? I mean... in many (most?) states, what she did would be considered crimes, no?

This is a mess of a thing that no journalistic site should be a part of.

Even if they don’t understand how it’s helpful, I think any layperson can understand a welded bond is way stronger than glue.
