Tesla makes their money from selling credits to other OEMs, not selling cars to you and I. Saying there’s no money in EVs isn’t true if you’re looking at the whole business, but saying there’s no money in selling an EV vehicle alone is still kind of true.

Seconded on the Ioniq. Truly amazing fuel economy, 4-wheel independent suspension, DCT, decently quick off the line thanks to batteries, and huge cargo space for a compact car. In this case the regular hybrid flavour is the correct choice.
