200 notwithstanding, I think the old grille design is much better. I feel like this new one cuts off awkwardly at the hood.

4th gear: CUE THE WATT LIZARDS!

Edit: Headphones were screwy. Disregard.

I’m not sure why I was expecting sound...

That’s better.

Kudos on remembering to strike through the apostrophe (even if it did miss).

Found the person from Singapore!

What’s an Isuzu Vehicross go for these days?

...so when the three got to go to places such as India, China, Botswana, Bolivia, Patagonia and Vietnam, it was a real treat.

Because it takes 60 seconds to top up the range extender, and 60 minutes* to top up the battery?

Too bad about the “dark chrome”. That stuff looks bad on basically every car and in this case doesn’t even seem to match the grille. Sigh.

I read it was 17.8 kWh in the new RAV4. Which makes only ever-so-slightly more efficient than the above-mentioned “pathetic Crosstrek” which has the added strain of full-time AWD (not this electric slip-n-grip AWD) and a much smaller battery at 8.8kWh.

Well, there’s no arguing any of that. Although in Canada, the top spec Legacy GT is nearly $11,000 (!) less expensive than the top Stinger. And the Limited GT is $3k less than even the 2.0T Stinger. That’s not nothing.

True, the mix was low for the H6 as she was a thirsty ol’ girl. The new one is much better in that dept. All I’m saying is that if you’re looking for a non-lux alternative to the models you listed, the 2.5L Camry isn’t going to get you there. The Legacy XT/GT is the way to go, I’d say.

Obligatory:

The new 2.4T in the XT version (GT, here in Canada) is pretty potent. Even the Ascent is no slouch with the same power plant. Also, keep in mind they’re only offering the Camry AWD with the 2.5L engine. A sports sedan, it ain’t.

I dunno. Toyota’s slip ‘n grip system isn’t going to match Subaru’s full-time system for most in areas with heavy snowfall. I’m sure it’s fine, but those folks love their Subarus for a reason.

These are posted everywhere now.
