Also, this pretty much sums up the situation of moving from the EU to the US.

you should google 'ship your enemies glitter' ASAP

For some reason I read your entire comment in my head with the voice of Collette. That was weird.

I made a similar comment once, but found out then that the shows are not graded on any kind of absolute scale, but they're graded against themselves :)

The last stand levels in Plants vs Zombies.

I'm hoping that Sam and Diane will give their romance a try and Jess ends up meeting Michiel Huisman in a supermarket or something and become her romantic interest. Fingers crossed.

Haha, fair point. I'm well aware of that, I just now thought of the Bechdel test specifically. I try not to have it in mind when watching shows, because it gets too frustrating watching show after show not (or barely) passing it. Also, I don't believe it has much value in reviewing shows on a non-aggregated basis,

I just now realised something. This show barely passes the Bechdel test. The only qualifying scene I can think of is between Monica and Laurie. I find this weird.

I can relate 100%. My biggest wish in life is for every morning and every evening a fitting partner (is at least generically nice and somewhat funny, preferably also at least kinda cute/hot) to magically appear at my door step, we then proceed to have nice banter in the bedroom for approximately 30 min, have an after

Hi everyone! I'm finding myself today on my couch in a particularly bad shape (something to do with living in Berlin and the four-day-weekend-culture here). I'm in extreme need of some TV that will lift my spirit. Unfortunately, I already watched all the shows to my knowledge that suit my mood today, so I am looking

'Tis a dark day filled with dark news, indeed.

Ha! Forgot about that one. Loved it! Thanks for the tip.

Hi everyone! Advice needed. I didn't start watching any new shows in about a year. Anything good came out the last year? As a reference, I enjoy comedies (30Rock, The Office, Parks & Rec, Veep, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Jane the Virgin etc), drama (The Affair, The Good Wife, Scandal, House of Cards etc) and stuff in between

Not many people raised in the US, I guess.

Uhm.. using the 'slippery slope' fallacy and stating that incest is in any way on the same scale as abortion seems quite offensive to me.

I wish I could favorite/save your comment. This is exactly how I feel!

"For your FYI" just cracked me up.

Actually, as a Dutch person I'm always really bummed out by American nude-phobia on screen. I guess watching TV and films my entire life that do absolutely nothing about covering up genitals and nipples makes it too ridiculous for me that adults would sleep with bras on or have conveniently placed bubbles in the bath
