I still wear masks mostly in indoor environments (and when walking through a large outdoor venue to my seats) because I just think other people’s germs are gross. If that stops me from getting a gross cold or even COVID-19, bonus.

I think a lot of people who appear to not care so much about the when don't seem to fully realise the how. It's not just sooner than if they didn't catch it, it's often not a quietly passing away in your sleep either. It can be a very bad end.

Everyone should be wearing masks when in groups, or indoors - it’s not just about what you breathe in, but harm reduction in what Everyone’s breathing out

I know it’s helped me stay healthier with regards to cold and flu as well. It’s was was also helpful last week when the smoke from the nearby wildfires made air quality abysmal.

My father-in-law, who has a whole host of medical issues and so does his wife, has a similar attitude. He often throws out “I am old, I will die when I die”. It fucking pisses me off because my wife, his primary care giver right now, has an autoimmune disease and she, and I and the kids, very much would not like her…

Good for him! As a cancer survivor I am still sticking to my guns by masking (it’s worked the past few years!) and watching everyone around me go back inside to hang out without masks. It’s lonely to be immunocompromised in a world where people are moving on when  the risk is still pretty high. :(

I still wear a mask at work and on the bus. I don't know what strangers have. Plus I don't have to bother wearing makeup.

Unfortunately, if Bill Hader is immunocompromised, the more effective protection against covid for him would be if the people he made contact with wore masks.

Good for him that he’s still taking it seriously. My autoimmune boss on the other hand doesn’t wear a mask around the office despite forcing everyone back in much sooner than he should have.
