A company’s commitment to safety must be subject to... rather a lot of scrutiny when their employees resort to urinating in bottles, buckling their seat belts behind their backs, and driving down the sidewalk to meet their “quotas” for the day.

Okay, don't give Stupid a car until they prove they can restrain themselves.
It wasn’t even a driving course, it was just flat out normal school, probably middle, but there was an educational video with car crashes and a dudes head straight up through the windshield with Phil Collins-In the Air Tonight playing in the background and I still think about that shit whenever I hear that song.
No chance.
That’s tough when just about any modern car is capable of darn quick 0-60 times. That driver could have done 100mph in the same space in a 30-year old full sized truck.
Driving is a paid privilege. Not a right. Mandate it and have the private party interested in driving pay for it totally. Mandate re-testing every 1, 3, and 5 years with every 5 years after to keep habits good and drivers everywhere safe and up to date.
This. Zero Tolerance just doesn’t work. It just fucks people over to the point that they have no options other than crime. It literally breeds criminals.
Stupid is as Stupid does, so maybe don’t give Stupid a land-missile.
It’s Elon, it was always going to be super weird.
Apart from anything else one-and-done laws don’t tend to discourage crime, they actually encourage it. If you are gonna be permanently banned or jailed, criminals tend to go big to make it worth it. And also just keep illegally doing the behavior too, because what more they gonna do? Ban them for two or three…
They don’t build multiple full cars except at the beginning of the season (and even then there are sometimes exceptions - Williams during their dark days had trouble bringing cars to pre-season on time), but rather they build X number of each part depending on manufacturing capacity (when it’s a new part from…
Honest question from a curious idiot: How many cars do teams build for a season, given the likelihood of crashes? And how often are crashed cars repaired and put back into service? Can they even do that, given how carbon fiber tends to crack and splinter?
When you choose your [military, country, company, whatever] leaders solely based on “are they your friend or not” rather than “are they competent or not” you always end up with dismal failure in the long run. It’s happened all throughout history. Roman empire, British empire, French empire, Russian empire(s) just to…
You aren’t. I’d also likely have one, but for his baffling Red Hat Heel turn.
The same is true for education. I’ve seen enough brilliant people who didn’t go to college and enough thundering fools brandishing PhDs to think that has anything to do with how smart someone is.
I’d also like to add that I’m far less likely to buy any sort of “Artificial Intelligence” product from a company whose CEO is demonstrating an abject lack of any intelligence whatsoever.
Elon is the only reason I don’t have a Tesla sitting in my driveway right now. I can’t be the only one.
The Electoral College just has to go. The Republicans have gotten so used to simply choosing their voters and coasting to victory on clearly-gerrymandered districts that they have forgotten how to work for anything.
Yep. The Republican Party has the mentality of losers.
