In my house it was always some guy named ”Raaaaaalf”

It took until the 2nd occurrence before I started reading “Buuuuick!!!” with a deep-down diaphragm clench. Well done!

It would seem so

Devin has always been a big drinker. Not in the sense that it ruins his life, but when we party, Devin gets into a bottle of Evan Williams. I’m not much for drinking anymore, so if we are headed out for karaoke, I’m typically driving.

I feel kink shamed that they’re not showing me a 2-door with a manual.

If I want to experience that much fresh air and the prevailing weather, I’ll get on my motorcycle, go for a run, or bicycle. And I see far too many Jeep owners who disrespect the land by tearing it up, disrespect democracy via their “Orange Menace” flags and stickers. I don’t want to associate with people like that.

Honestly, this whole debate is dumb.

I mentioned this in a different thread (but the comment is locked in the grey) but there’s very much a medical helipad at Ospedali Padova just around the corner.

An NA Miata (or a Porsche 928, but that’s another story) was my daily from the time I got married to when we had kids. It was kind of a beater however and it was easier to dump for some change than to try and fix it up. But it got me plenty of shopping, through some massive blizzards (with snow tires) and everywhere

So...net positive outcome, re: donor parts?

It’s more for irony.

Were they doing this on public roads? That seems like a great way to destroy one donated organ while simultaneously adding many more to the donor pool.

my first reaction is that battery voltage at 100% is slightly more per-cell than at even 90%, so my guess is the wiring used to transfer pack voltage to the vehicle systems isn’t up to the job, and the extra voltage in that last 10% is enough to overcome the resistance of the wire insulation.

This is just the nature of lithium batteries lol, BMS is not nearly as advanced as we’d like to think it is. Set my motorcycle on fire using a charger that was within manufacturer recommendations, because you never know if at 90-100% capacity, if the charging system of a normal grid can maintain 13-14 volts with that

I assume resistance is at play between 90-100%. It is like those cell phones that can charge to “80%” capacity in 30 minutes but take 2 hours to fully charge. That space between 80-100% usually takes a lot more time and creates a lot more heat, which could be at play here.

This is an interesting fix. Assuming limiting battery capacity to 90% actually works, I would be extremely curious what was going on between 91% and 100% charge that’s causing fires.

“ Some people say I lack the daisies, but I'm here to tell you, I have the best daisies. They're huge. Other people with daisies tell me how great my daisies are."

But knee-jerk reactions are so easy and fun! C’mon man!

Your going to need to buy a Model Y to get a faster opening roof.
