Fair. I live in NC. Our old house was from the 1970s and has an HOA. Our current house was built around 1916 and doesn’t.

I don’t get gun nuts. I don’t see much point in having any guns, but I get that shooting and hunting are fun for some folks. But, after the first one or two, what are the other 30 for?

As a graduate of Duke University, a “nonprofit” can find an *endless* number of ways to spend *enormous* amounts of money.

Call your city’s code enforcement folks. There are almost certainly statutes regarding inoperable, junked, or abandoned vehicles.

They’re gonna do it because they *can* and because they can issue fines. That’s how they make money.

It can be really hard to own a home and NOT have an HOA. You need a neighborhood that predates the ubiquity of HOAs. That means you’re looking at city centers, historic districts, things like that. Those places tend to be *expensive* to move into.
