Boeing.

The lack of pressurization means the pressure *inside* the ear is much higher than outside. The pressure imbalance is going the other way.

I think the data will say that we are definitely safer right up until the point where we definitely aren’t. The problem with distracted driving is that usually it’s uneventful. Sometimes there’s a near-miss. And rarely there’s a disaster.

The 41st millennium you say?!

Same here haha

Let's not forget inheritance, either!

110% agreed. Understanding how to debate a position and understanding compound interest should be the only two requirements to leave high school. You can just Google everything else as needed.

Dude probably has plenty of income (and collateral, in case of default), but yeah, unless this guy is a huge customer of that bank (or maybe owns it?), it seems pretty dumb to give out that kind of loan.

I mean, banks giving money to people who can’t actually pay it back was kind of a thing in the early 2000s. Clearly *you and I* learned a lesson in 2009, but the banks seem to have forgotten it, because money.

Technically, even after NASA loses control of them, they’ll just keep on going. They’ll likely keep on going until they fall into something else’s gravity well.  I’m kinda curious when, and where that might happen.  I bet they can (and probably already have) worked it out.

Yeah, but good luck towing it back to the shop!

And yet the WiFi in my house keeps dropping it’s connection periodically.

Why the obsession with balls?

Right? I’m a scientist, so whenever I hear something that’s kind of “out there,” I immediately dissect the question to see if it immediately falls apart.

There have been some really dramatic advances in engine design, cooling, and general longevity. Outside of the known grenades (Porsche’s IMS bearings, E60 M5's... everything), I think the engines are unlikely to be what kills cars any more.

Well, you did, so there’s that! (jokes!)

But, crucially, this guy may not know that.

Wealth is synonymous with luck, more than anything else.

It’s a bit like complaining about being fact-checked. You can easily avoid being fact-checked if you don’t make shit up. Donald Trump simply cannot distinguish truth from fiction, as all that matters is how he thinks he can benefit in the moment.

I mean, Mercs from the 1980s and 1990s were pretty bulletproof if you kept up with the maintenance. They were so solidly built that they might have actually stopped a small bullet. I probably see more nice-looking 80s/90s Mercs driving around than I do early 2000s-era. I can’t find any fault with loving them.
