Right? The only people I ever hear talk about what phone they have is Apple people complaining about how messages from Android people don't display correctly. Which is an Apple-specific problem.

RIM sat on its laurels. Absolutely. No argument there. But once upon a time, they were better.
Yep. Plus the early Apple Maps constantly getting people into terrible situations (that they SHOULD have seen coming if they were paying attention, but still). Into rivers, lakes, the Australian outback, and such.
My point was that the iPhone was NOT an innovation. It was a flashy repackaging of existing stuff. Same as the iPod, or anything else Apple did after the Apple II.
And, much like the iPhone, the I had a smartphone (and a truck) long before Apple (and Tesla) came along and did their half-assed takes on them.
Boy, that’s a weird thing for a “free speech absolutist” to do.
If I saw someone holding up the line to take a series of photos of their tacky crap for Instagram, you can bet they'll be getting an earful.
Back when the Colonial Pipeline made everyone in the southeast lose their damn minds for three or four days, I learned that Costco apparently gets their fuel from a different line. They had gas the whole time.
Probably got the Bolivian stuff too, if you ask correctly!
I was thinking the same thing. It would have to be competing with GR86s and Miatas to work, and that space might not have much room for another competitor. If GM went and GM’ed it (halfhearted initial effort, refining until near-perfection, followed immediately by cancellation once they are building what they should…
That is rad as hell.
The 2L Supra starts at like $45,000. Also, look at it. I think GM could do a good bit better than that, if they wanted to.
I have the courage to speak the truth. A Fiero that wasn’t kneecapped by the Corvette would be (and would have been) awesome.
...it happened again!
It’s not that I’m afraid to admit it, it’s that it’s just not true. Heck, even the Hyundai Tiburon looks better.
I’m a CMC scientist. I am programmed (and paid) to identify and eliminate risks, however small. And especially in edge cases, like this, because edge cases often make for the most spectacular failures.
I genuinely don’t understand how you read “drama queen” into “this thing isn’t a danger to life and limb,” but you do you, dearie.
Regen braking isn’t a magic spell. Regular brakes will get used.
I gave Denver as an example to whoever it was that said “you have to go up the hill before you go down.” Kinja being Kinja, that probably isn’t super clear.
Ever towed something down a mountain? High speed is very much not advised. And staying at a reasonable speed is going to require some braking.
