Ok, that’s why I’ve never heard about it. Hardly anyone makes that, nationally.

That lady sounds like a nightmare.

Wait, really? The government did something sensible?!

To be fair, they weren’t actually that cheap. The subsidies played a major role.

That's honestly super cool.

Came here to say this. Hell, just swab your own mouth.

Everyone needs to vote this year like they want the opportunity to vote ever again in the future.

Every time someone calls SCOTUS “the Supremes” I can’t help but think how much better life would be if SCOTUS was populated by the actual Supremes. I don’t care if Diana Ross is the only one still alive.

It’s always fun to see a car I never knew of in here. Learning is fun!

You’re not wrong at all. But even the used cars are, by and large, a whole lot safer now, thankfully. But they’re a bit more expensive and still unrepairable, as far as insurance is concerned, which is still shitty.

Yeah, you're right. It clearly shows they knew that they could have left *all* the pages blank.

Yep, that all tracks with what I got, though mine came with a side of Cold War-era fear mongering, which was fun.

I kinda have to disagree with you here. Cars back then transferred all the energy of an impact to the people in the car and the thing doing the hitting. They were very much less-safe than modern cars. Example: my brother was in his BMW i3 when a motorcycle T-boned him at approximately 95 mph. The car was destroyed,

My favorite were the pencil-cheaters. We required people to write in pen because they’d go and erase their answers and replace them with correct ones after we handed the exams back. Like it was out first rodeo or something.

I really hope that story is true. And I wish I was that quick-thinking on my feet.

I can’t believe I got to be the first. Don’t think that’s ever happened to me before!

Yikes! Hopefully the kid is okay!

That too, yeah

1.5 PSI.

I love idiots who spout crap like that. When I had to TA for Intro Immunology, there was always a Pre-Med student complaining about their grades, saying “But, I’m Pre-Med, so I need and A in this class!”
